It's Time To Turn Fairyland Pink Again!
Wednesday October 1st
Every October, Fairyland turns pink to help raise breast cancer awareness, and our Pink Plant is now available for sending to friends!

You can of course send these gifts to as many friends as you wish, whether they're already on Fairyland or not:

All the usual Pink wildlife (and pink Hand-Painted Pots) are back again, and there's also a new pink version of one of the Fairyland wildlife this year... can you guess which one it might be and try to spot it? (Clue: this pink wildlife is very rare but does actually exist! It's not in the Wildlife Guide yet, but will be added in a few days time...)

Good luck!

Tallest Sunflower Of The Day!
Tuesday July 1st
Many Fairylanders have already successfully completed the Sunflower Challenge, and some of the Sunflowers grown have been spectacularly tall, although unfortunately it's hard to appreciate just how tall they actually are as they disappear off the top of the Garden!

So we thought it would be fun to display the tallest Sunflowers grown each day in all their glory on the news page, and if you enjoy a little extra challenge, you can try to grow one of today's top 5!

Nessie And Friends!
Tuesday May 20th
The last pond challenge ("Fishy Namesakes") was a nice easy one, but it's now time for a bit more of a challenge!

A brand new set of pond wildlife are in the Wildlife Guide right now. They are attracted by a combination of different Pondweeds. You therefore need to have completed the "Rainbow Of Fish" challenge before attempting this (as otherwise you can only grow one Pondweed at a time!)

There are 7 new wildlife to attract & spot in this category, including the notoriously difficult to spot Loch Ness Monster!

The Loch Ness Monster!!

This is a difficult challenge, and the key is in good garden planning... good luck, and have fun!

Underwater Backgrounds
Wednesday May 14th
Do you like to freeze your favourite background effects in your Garden, but also like to take your Garden underwater to attract the Pond wildlife?

Great news - we've now improved this so that you no longer lose any time on your saved background effects while underwater :)

So whenever you harvest the Underwater Toadstool after being underwater, you'll now see that it will extend the time remaining on your background effects to make up for the time spent underwater.

Fishy Namesakes!
Tuesday May 6th
A brand new category of fish has appeared in Fairyland today - "Fishy Namesakes"!

As the name suggests, these fish are namesakes of some of the existing Fairyland wildlife, which will give you a big clue as to how to attract them (there is no information in the Wildlife Guide about attractants - you will need to figure this out yourself.)

For example, the Squirrelfish's namesake is the Red Squirrel:

Red Squirrel

Squirrelfish

There are 7 new fish to attract & spot in this category (all of them real-life species!)

Good luck!

Hippos On The Loose!
Wednesday April 23rd
Some Hippos have arrived in Fairyland today, and can be spotted both in the Gardens, and also cooling off in the Garden Pond!

Friday April 18th
Fairyland's Earth Flower is back again, in time for Earth Day on April 22nd!

The Earth Flower does not attract any new wildlife, however it does help to protect a larger amount of rainforest than your usual Fairyland flower (10 sq ft per flower when harvested, which really adds up if everyone grows one!)

It's Egg-Hunting Time Again!
Thursday March 27th
It's time to go egg-hunting again... and there are some brand new babies hatching from those eggs this year!

Get started now by sending beautiful Daffodil gifts to friends:

Share The Link

Send Gifts

All Daffodils give a small gift of Gold when harvested, so if you have space available in your Garden, it's always worth growing a couple!

Daffodils of course attract the Easter Bunny. Remember to keep an empty "nest" in your own Garden while hunting for him as he will drop a decorated egg for you whenever you spot him in another garden, which will then incubate in your nest.

This year, you can hatch your eggs either in your Garden as usual (for Baby Chicks), or you can choose to hatch them underwater, where you'll get cute Baby Seahorses! (See the Seasonal section of the Wildlife Guide for full details.)

Not finished building a nest yet? Don't worry - so that everyone can join the fun right away, you can get a ready-completed nest simply by clicking here!

There's only one freebie "completed" nest per garden however, so if you want to host multiple eggs at once, you will need to build additional nests yourself (empty nesting trees are available in the gift shoppe)

Finally, the Easter Bunny's mini-challenge is back again this year, to help you earn a few extra Underwater Toadstool seeds so you can attract those cute new Baby Seahorses!

The Easter Bunny's Mini-Challenge

Hello, I'm the Fairyland Easter Bunny!

I heard that some Fairylanders would like to earn some "eggs"tra Underwater Toadstool seeds while enjoying an "egg"citing egg-hunting challenge, so I have one right here for you!

I have both a r"egg"ular challenge and an "eggs"pert challenge, so you can choose whichever you prefer!

The challenge is to get either two (for the r"egg"ular challenge) or seven (for the "eggs"pert challenge) different colours of hatched eggs in nests in your Garden at the same time.

So for "eggs"ample, to complete the r"egg"ular challenge, your Garden will need to have something like this:

When you have them in your Garden, return here and click my little egg icon below. I'll then check your Garden and award your Underwater Toadstool Seeds if you've completed the challenge successfully.

You will get 1 Seed for completing the r"egg"ular (2 eggshell) challenge, and a further 2 seeds (so 3 in total) if you complete the "eggs"pert challenge by getting seven different egg colours in your Garden at once.

This challenge will run until the end of April, so there's time for everyone to have a "crack" at it... good luck!"

"Eggs"spert Challenge
Successfully Completed!

Happy Egg Hunting!

Leprechauns and Shamrocks!
Friday March 7th
It's the time of year again when the Leprechauns pay a visit to Fairyland, and they can be spotted around the Gardens mischeivously stealing the veggies which have been left out for Wildlife!

Leprechauns are attracted to Gardens with fully grown Shamrocks, and these are available now for gifting to friends!

Remember, every Shamrock harvested releases a Pot O' Gold. There's a 1 in 10 chance that a Shamrock will be of the lucky 4-leaf variety (these release more Gold than the 3-leaf ones when harvested!)

The Leprechaun's Mini-Challenge

Well hello there, I'm the friendly Fairyland Leprechaun, back with another of my little seasonal challenges!

This year's challenge has 2 parts to complete, and when you've completed both of them, I'll reward you with 2 Underwater Toadstool Seeds!

The first part of the challenge is to grow a 4-leaf Shamrock in your Garden. Careful not to let it go Ready For Harvest - it needs to be "fully grown" in your garden to count.

Then for the second part, you need to spot me in another Garden in my Scuba gear! (See the Wildlife Guide to find out how to do this!)

When you have completed both parts of the challenge, return here and click my little shamrock icon below. I'll then check your Garden and award your seeds if you've successfully completed both parts.

My challenge will only run until March 17th, so don't delay... have fun and good luck to you!"

Cupid Mouse's Valentines Challenge Is Back!
Saturday February 8th

Hi there, my name's Cupid Mouse!

You may already have seen me around in a few Gardens, but I'm especially busy this time of year as I'm sure you can imagine, spreading the love all around Fairyland with my bow and heart-tipped arrows!

Listen - I have a little challenge for you, and if you can complete it successfully, I'll reward you with 2 Underwater Toadstool seeds!
The challenge is to get 5 of my Valentines Roses flowering in your Garden at the same time. It's important they they are all flowering at the same time - don't let any of them go Ready For Harvest or they won't count!

As soon as you have 5, return to this page and click my little heart icon below and I'll check your Garden and give you your prize!

If you're not sure how to get the Valentines Roses, check my page in the Wildlife Guide, or ask around and someone is sure to help you :)

My challenge will run until the end of February, so there's plenty of time to choose a day where you have time to attempt it.... Good luck!"

When flowering, the Loveflower attracts beautiful Lovebirds to your Garden (remember to leave out some Bird Mix for them!)

And as usual, you can give a secret Valentines Star-Dusting to any "Ready For Harvest" Loveflower in any Garden in Fairyland... and the Garden Owner will be left guessing who did it! Whose Loveflower(s) will you Star-Dust this year, and will you receive a secret Valentines Star-Dusting yourself?!

Finally, remember that you can also use the Glass Vase from the Loveflower to attract Cupid Mouse to your Garden (if you're not sure how to do this, details are in the Wildlife Guide)

Cupid Mouse's Valentines Challenge Returns Tomorrow!

Tomorrow sees the return of Cupid Mouse's Valentines Challenge, in which you can earn 2 Underwater Toadstool Seeds for successfully completing it... look out for more details shortly!

The First Flower Of Spring!
Monday January 27th
As the winter season draws to a close in Fairyland (with the Ice Flower only available for a short time longer) it's time for the First Flowers of Spring to begin appearing!

Share The Link

Send Gifts

When flowering, the First Flower of Spring will attract the Groundhog to your Garden. (According to Fairyland Folklore, when the Groundhogs leave hibernation and begin visiting the Gardens again, it's a sure sign that winter will soon be over and spring is just around the corner!)

Then when Ready For Harvest, the First Flower of Spring will bring springtime showers in your Garden (but remember that you need to have a cloud in your sky first, produced by the "White Marshmallow" Magical Pot - after all, there can't be any rain without a cloud!)

Pond Mythological Wildlife!
Wednesday January 22nd
Some unusual and very beautiful creatures have arrived in the Fairyland Pond today... the Pond Mythological Wildlife!

Rainbow Seadragon

Sea-Unicorn

Just like their land-dwelling cousins, the Pond Mythological Wildlife are attracted by the different "Ready For Harvest" mushrooms (and of course your Garden must also be underwater!) Full details are in the Wildlife Guide now...

Also like the original Mythological wildlife, the Pond Mythologicals become progressively rarer, so while the Seadragons are common like the Mermaids, the latter ones such as the Sea-Pegasus / Sea-Unicorn are very rare (which means that they don't visit very often and you can only expect to get occasional visits.)

Have fun attracting and spotting these new arrivals!

Underwater Toadstools Now Last A Little Longer!
Friday January 17th
A popular suggestion on our forums recently has been to extend the "fully grown" life of the Underwater Toadstool to match that of the Supershroom, since they will often be used together.

This makes good sense, so Underwater Toadstools planted from now onwards will remain fully grown for 1.5 days (increased from 1 day) which is the same as the Supershroom.

We hope you're enjoying the new Pond theme so far! It's all very simple just now so everyone can get the hang of how it works... but plenty more fun stuff is coming soon with the next watery wildlife arriving later this month!

Downtime Notice
Just an advance warning that Fairyland will be unavailable for about 20 minutes on Tuesday January 21st, sometime between 0600-0730 GMT to allow us to perform an important server upgrade. This is a pretty quiet time of day in Fairyland, so the downtime will hopefully affect as few people as possible. Apologies for any inconvenience caused.

What's In The Garden Pond?!
Tuesday January 7th
If you managed to collect some of the new Mystery Seeds, you're probably itching to know what they're for!

Well the wait is over and they can now be planted in any 'toadstool' pot (the same ones used for the Fairytales - any one will do!)
When planted, the new mystery seed will grow into an Underwater Toadstool, which will attract the beautiful Fairyland Mermaid to your Garden!

When she is spotted in your Garden, the Mermaid will sit upon your Toadstool, magically transporting your Garden to her underwater world at the bottom the Garden Pond!

Whenever your Garden is submerged in the Garden Pond (don't worry - all your plants can grow as normal while underwater!) you will be able to attract the new Garden Pond Wildlife which are listed in a new section in the Wildlife Guide.

The first 7 Garden Pond wildlife are nice & easy to attract - in fact you may recognize them as they're 7 of the regular Fairyland wildlife (ones which can swim underwater!)

And of course, there will be lots more Garden Pond wildlife and challenges arriving over the coming months!

Questions & Answers

How do I get more Underwater Toadstool seeds?

What happens to my background effects?

Does it matter which Toadstool pot I use?

Have fun!

Changing Flower Colours With Sparkle Dust!
Monday January 6th
We hope everyone enjoyed the festive season and that you're having a great 2014 so far! It's almost time for our new year surprise in Fairyland (which arrives tomorrow!) But today, there's just one small improvement to the game to let you know about:

As you know, some Fairyland flowers come in different colours/varieties (for example the Piscis Aquabullae, which comes in 7 different colours.) Until now, you needed to use Gold Dust if you wanted to change the colour/variety to a different one, which could get a little expensive if you wanted to make a few changes.

Great news - you now use Sparkle Dust instead of Gold Dust for this purpose!

Many of you will have quite a store of unused Sparkle Dust already (earned from the Magical Mushrooms game), effectively making it free for you to change flower colours! Or if you happen to have none left, then more can always be purchased in the Shoppe much more cheaply than Gold Dust :)

Gifts Under The Tree!
Sunday December 1st
Fairyland's festive tree decorating challenge is back again, and there's a little something extra to collect for it this year!

Get started right away by sharing trees with your friends:

Share The Link

Send Gifts

How It Works

Decorating the tree is very similar to building snowmen or scarecrows - you need to collect the various items with which to decorate it - streamers, garlands, gifts, baubles, lights, plus a "large gift". That's 6 items in all, which is one more than last year as the "Large Gift" is new this year!

These items are dropped by the winter seasonal wildlife, with the new "Large Gift" being dropped by the new Elf Mice & Mallards (see the Wildlife Guide for full details of which wildlife drop which items!)

You'll also notice that the winter seasonal wildlife drop both the snowman-building items and the tree-decorating items. However they will only drop ONE item for every 5th spot (either a snowman item or a tree decoration, but not both.) If you happen to have 2 things in your garden which need decorating (e.g. a tree and a snowman), then it's always the leftmost one which will get priority - so make sure you arrange your Garden with this in mind while out hunting!

You can build as many trees as you wish, and in about 3 weeks you'll be able to open the "Large Gift" under each of your trees and discover what's inside!

Happy tree decorating!

Festive Challenge - More Info!
Saturday November 30th
Many of you have already started attempting this year's Festive Challenge, but as promised, here's some further information to help you out!

The challenge is to build a "Santa" Snowman, which will look something like this one (you've probably seen a few around the gardens already!)

To complete a "Santa" Snowman, you'll need to collect:
  • A red Santa hat
  • A snow beard (mouth)
  • A red coat (arms)
  • A black belt (buttons)
  • Any eyes and nose will do :)

As usual, these parts are dropped by every 5th Festive Wildlife you spot (festive mice & mallards, cardinals, reindeer, snowy owls, arctic foxes etc.) However there's only about a 1 in 5 chance of a "Santa" part being dropped instead of a regular snowman part, so you will need to have pretty good luck to build a complete Santa Snowman this way.

However the good news is that this challenge becomes much easier over time...

Gardens which have completed a Santa Snowman will begin attracting Elf Mice & Mallards - these are now listed in the Wildlife Guide. These Elves ALWAYS drop "Santa" parts for every 5th spotted, which means that you only need to spot 5 of each of them to complete your own Santa!

Therefore the more Gardens that complete the challenge, the easier it becomes for everyone else, so if you're finding this challenge too difficult right now, wait until a little later in December, when Elf Mice & Mallard will be taking over lots more Fairyland Gardens and will be much easier to spot.

Discarding Snowman Parts

To help you build your Santa Snowman, you can discard parts which are not correct.

To do this, click the [more info] link next to where it says "incomplete" in your snowman's popup, and you'll see where you can discard individual items.

Important note: you can't discard items after a snowman has been "completed" with all the parts, so it's a good idea to leave the eyes and nose until last, as it doesn't matter which variety of these you find!

Good luck, and have fun with this challenge!

When 'ready for harvest', Poppies will attract beautiful Peace Doves to your Garden.

King Penguins and Walruses!
Friday November 1st
Did you guess them right?

And of course, the plant required to attract them is the Piscis Aquabullae.

King Penguin

Walrus

However there's a little more to attracting these guys than just growing one plant, and everyone in Fairyland will need to work together to figure out the correct combination of plants to attract them (there are quite a few possible combinations, but if everyone tries something different, someone is sure to hit upon the correct combination before too long!)

For each of the new wildlife, you'll need:

  • 1 x Ready For Harvest Piscis Aquabullae
  • 2 x Flowering Piscis Aquabullae
  • Bird Mix to eat

All 3 of the Piscis Aquabullae must be different colours (the exact combination is for you to discover) and any Piscis of the wrong colour will completely deter the wildlife. You therefore need to have the exact 3 correct ones and no extra ones in your garden.

As an added bonus, you can change the colour of your Piscis Aquabullae (by sprinkling them with Gold Dust) for FREE throughout November, which means that you can experiment with different colour combinations as much as you like :)

Good Luck... and look out for more fishy wildlife soon!

There's Something Fishy About These Guys!
Monday October 28th
We hope everyone's been having fun during the Free Superfood weekend! (If you successfully completed your Witch Scarecrow, remember to leave her out in your Garden for a few more days to help the folks who are still Zombie hunting!)

After Fairyland's Zombie invasion, we will be returning to normal next month, with the arrival of some new regular wildlife. Here's an early heads-up so you can have a guess at what they might be (and therefore which RFH plant is needed to attract them, so you can get a head-start on growing it!)

This is probably one of the easier ones to figure out, but you'll find out if you got it right on Friday when these guys (and a few more of their friends) begin arriving in Fairyland!

It's a FREE SUPERFOOD Weekend!!
Friday October 25th
As a little helping hand to everyone still going with the Halloween Challenge, one of our famous Free Superfood Weekends begins today!

To get the free Superfood, simply refill your feeding tables as you usually would, and (assuming your Garden is public) you will see the "Free Superfood" option in the Shoppe!

Halloween Challenge - Some Useful Help!
Wednesday October 16th

Many of you have already started attempting the Halloween Challenge this year, and a few lucky gardens have even completed it already, which is great going!

However as mentioned previously, this challenge starts out very difficult but gets much easier over time... here's all the help you need so you can try to complete it by Halloween!

The challenge is to build a "Witch" Scarecrow, something like this one (you've probably seen a few around the gardens already!)

To complete a "Witch" Scarecrow, you'll need to collect:
  • A black witch's hat (must be the one shown above)
  • A black witch's top (shirt)
  • A black witch's skirt (legs)
  • She can have any head you like :)

As usual, these parts are dropped by every 5th Halloween Wildlife you spot (ghostly mice & mallards, bats and cats.) However there's only about a 1 in 7 chance of a "witch" part being dropped instead of a regular scarecrow part, so you will need to have pretty good luck to build a complete Witch Scarecrow this way (that's what we mean by the challenge starting out very difficult!)

However the good news is that this challenge becomes much easier over time...

Gardens which have completed a Witch Scarecrow (and also have a RFH Halloween Flower to make witches fly around the Garden) will begin attracting Zombie Mice & Mallards - these are now listed in the Wildlife Guide. These Zombies ALWAYS drop "Witch" parts for every 5th spotted, which means that you only need to spot 5 of each of them to complete your own witch.

Therefore the more Gardens that complete the challenge, the easier it becomes for everyone else, so if you're finding this challenge too difficult right now, wait until a little closer to Halloween, when Zombie Mice & Mallard will be taking over lots more Fairyland Gardens and will be much easier to spot.

Discarding Scarecrow Parts

New this year, we've also added a feature where you can discard individual scarecrow parts, to help you build the perfect scarecrow!

To do this, click the [more info] link next to where it says "incomplete" in your scarecrow's popup, and you'll see where you can discard individual items (note: you can't discard items after a scarecrow has been "completed", so remember to not allow your scarecrow to be completed by the Crow before you're happy with it!)

Zombie Field Mice

Until now, Zombie Field Mice have been dropping scarecrow heads (just like the Ghostly Field Mice.) However these aren't so useful for witch-building as a witch can have any head. So the great news is that Zombie Field Mice have now started dropping Witch's Hats instead, which are much more useful :)

Good luck, and have fun with this challenge!

You'll need to work with others to figure out what needs doing to complete this year's mystery Halloween Challenge, as we're not posting instructions just yet!

The only thing we'll say for now is that this challenge starts out very difficult, meaning that only a lucky few will manage to complete it initially.

But don't worry - this challenge actually gets easier over time (the more gardens that complete it, the easier it gets) so everyone should have a good chance to complete it by the end of the month!

So if you like a good challenge, get experimenting now! Or if you prefer things easier, you may prefer to hang back a week or two until all is revealed!

Good luck!

Fairyland Goes Canine Crazy!
Tuesday September 17th

After last month's arrival of the felines in Fairyland (Tiger, Leopard etc), this month sees the arrival of some new canine-themed wildlife!

You won't find any of your domestic dog breeds here of course - but you will find wildlife such as Wolves and Coyotes, and also one which doesn't really belong in this category (but at the same time kinda does!)

They're all out there already, so get hunting! (They will be added to the Wildlife Guide after a few days...)

Fairyland Maintenance (Now Completed!)
Saturday September 14th

Fairyland will shortly be unavailable for approximately 30 minutes while we perform some important maintenance.

The maintenance has now been completed - thank you for your patience, and we apologize for any inconvenience caused.

Update: Please note that "wall posts" will remain unavailable for a further hour or two following the maintenance, but the rest of Fairyland will be up and running again as normal :)

Special Offer - Final Chance!
Monday September 2nd

Just a reminder that our special Double Star Dust offer ends very soon, so if you'd like to get a purchase in before the deadline, don't delay!

The Special Offer Has Now Ended!

Silver Fox!
September September 1st

We've received reports that the very rare Silver Fox has recently been spotted in Fairyland!

The Silver Fox is a melanistic Fox, so to attract it, set your Garden up for the regular fox and occasionally it will be a silver one!

And look out for more melantistic wildlife arriving this month! This is especially great news if you're hunting for Fairytale Seeds, as the first time you spot any Albino or Melanistic Wildlife (in another garden) they will always drop a Fairytale Seed for you!

It's An Olinguito!
Monday August 26th
Well that didn't take long... we thought that the latest wildlife mystery would take everyone a while to figure out, but Olinguitos are all over Fairyland already!

The Wildlife Guide has now been updated so you can advertise or find gardens to hunt for Olinguitos in (there's a useful tip in there for increasing the attraction for them too!)

New Wildlife Species Discovered In Fairyland!
Thursday August 22nd
This cute little guy has recently been discovered in Fairyland!

He's difficult to attract though, as he requires 3 different plants, and nobody yet knows which ones they are!

You're unlikely to find which plants they are by random chance alone - there are just too many possible combinations. Instead, you'll need to guess what the new wildlife is, and then do a little research on its natural habitat... this may give you some clues as to which 3 Fairyland plants are required!

The Wildlife Guide will be updated in a couple of weeks... will the mystery have been solved by then???

Good luck!

Did You Solve The Big Cat Mystery?
Friday August 16th

Congratulations if you already managed to attract/spot in the new Tiger and Panther, but if not, the Wildlife Guide has now been updated!

The Tiger can be found under the "Levels 11+" section and the Black Panther can be found under the Albinos section (which is now renamed "Albino and Melanistic Wildlife" - so look out for a few more in the future!

Two New Big Cats Spotted In Fairyland!
Saturday August 10th

We've heard reports that there are two more new Big Cats on the loose in Fairyland!

The first is the Tiger... but it's a real puzzle figuring out what attracts him. You'll need to gather together all the evidence you can find from the gardens which manage to attract him "accidentally" to figure out the secret!

The other is the Black Panther, which is especially exciting as it's Fairyland's very first Melanistic Wildlife! ("Black Panther" being the common name for a Melanistic Leopard, which is a Leopard with very dark skin pigmentation.)

Both of these new wildlife are great if you enjoy a bit of a challenge, however if you can't figure out the secret of attracting/spotting them, don't worry - the Wildlife Guide will be updated in a few days... good luck!

While fully grown, the Sunflower will bring the Sun out in your Garden, and the Mice and Mallards will be taking shade under their Mushrooom Parasols!

The Summer Field Mouse's Mini Challenge!

Hi there! I'm the Summer Field Mouse. You've probably seen me around a few times without my shades and mushroom parasol!

Listen, I have a new little summer challenge for you, and if you can complete it, 100 Pink Diamonds and 2 Fairy Tale Seeds are yours! (If you have already completed the Fairy Tales, you can still do the challenge just for fun!)

The challenge is to both spot and attract all of us Summer Mice and Mallards twice each.

This means that you need to spot me at least 2 times, and also have me spotted in your Garden at least 2 times. Same for the Summer White Mouse, Summer Pygmy Mouse and Summer Mallard.

When you think you've completed the challenge, return to this page and click me below to claim your reward!

My challenge will only be running until the end of August, so if you'd like to have a go at it, don't delay!

Big Cats!
Friday July 19th

It's almost time for the Leo Zodiac flower to arrive, so Lions will be back in Fairyland again very soon.

But this time around the Lions won't be the only Big Cats in town, as this one has just arrived today!

How do you attract her to your Garden? That's for you to discover! (As usual, the wildlife guide will be updated in a few days' time...)

Slow Loading Pages?
Friday July 5th

If you're using the "Internet Explorer" web browser, you may be experiencing some slow loading pages or "long running script" errors just now.

Unfortunately this problem has been caused by a recent Facebook update and it may take some time until they fix it.

However the good news is that you can fix the problem yourself, in one of 2 ways:

(1) The problem usually only affects Internet Explorer if you are using "Compatibility View", so simply switch this off if you have it on (you don't need it!) and that should fix the problem.

(2) Alternatively, you could switch from Internet Explorer to a different browser instead, such as Firefox or Google Chrome.

Apologies for the inconvenience caused if you are experiencing this problem.

Missing Friends?
Thursday July 4th

We're aware of a problem today where some people are missing a few friends from their lists (this would also mean you can't get into those friends' gardens if they are set to "private".)

We're currently checking into this, however because "friends list" problems are often ones which we need to wait for Facebook to fix, please be patient as it could take a day or two!

Your friends' gardens are still there, so if you have a direct link to their gardens (or click on one of their posts in the game) then you can still visit their gardens ok (the only exception being if they have their garden set to "private".)

Apologies for the inconvenience caused - we will post an update as soon as we have news!

Update: The "missing friends" problem should now be fixed - thank you for your patience.

Nivea The Beautiful Fairy  Arrives In Fairyland!
Monday July 1st

Nivea The Beautiful Fairy arrives in Fairyland today, to tell her tale of Snow White !

So if you have already managed to complete the tasks from the sixth Fairy Tale (Three Billy Goats Gruff), and have already saved up enough Pink Diamonds / Fairytale Seeds to start the next one then you can now attract Nivea to your Garden by purchasing the new Fairytale Pots, and planting some Fairytale Seeds!

Like the previous Fairy Tales, this one will need a little figuring out initially, so if you enjoy experimenting and figuring things out then you can go ahead and get started right away, or if you prefer to know exactly what you're doing first, you may prefer to hang back for a couple of days, and then check our forums to find out what others have discovered!

Special Reward!

As this is the final Fairy Tale, there is a special reward waiting for when you complete it - a Gnome Table!

But what is a Gnome Table you may ask? Well, it's exactly like a normal (raised) feeding table, but a little gnome has made it his home and lives inside... you'll see him pop out from time to time to say hello!

The other great thing about the Gnome Table is that you can use it as a third feeding table in your garden (alongside 2 regular feeding tables) meaning that you can create new kinds of Garden setup and attract more wildlife than ever before!

To complete the final Fairy Tale and get your very own Gnome Table, each of the Seven Dwarfs must have been spotted 10 or more times in your Garden.

Struggling With The Billy Goats?

We have received reports that quite a few of you are finding the timings on the Three Billy Goats Gruff challenge quite difficult, so we have improved things slightly so that all Buttercups planted from now onwards will last an extra 24 hours until Ready For Harvest. This should make attracting those Big Billy Goats a little more relaxed and not quite so timing-critical (but still a good challenge of course :)

Have fun, and enjoy the final Fairy Tale!

What Is It?!
Friday June 28th

This cute little fella is new in Fairyland today!

But what is it, and more importantly, how do you attract it to your Garden?!

All we know if that it is attracted by a combination of 3 fully grown herbs... but which 3 herbs are they? It's time to experiment!

Esurienti The Hungry Fairy  Arrives In Fairyland!
Saturday June 1st

Esurienti The Hungry Fairy arrives in Fairyland today, to tell her tale of Three Billy Goats Gruff !

So if you have completed the tasks from the fifth Fairy Tale (Jack And The Beanstalk), then you can now attract Esurienti to your Garden by purchasing the new Fairytale Pots, and planting Fairytale Seeds!

Like the previous Fairy Tale, this one will need a little figuring out initially (some careful timing/planning is required!) So if you enjoy experimenting and figuring things out then you can go ahead and get started right away, or if you prefer to know exactly what you're doing first, you may prefer to hang back for a couple of days, and then check our forums to find out what others have discovered!

Remember that the Fairy Tales are long-term challenges which don't need to be completed immediately when they are released - there are no time limits, so you can progress through them at your own pace :)

To complete this Fairy Tale and be ready for next month's tale (which will be the final one in this series), the Big Billy Goat must have been spotted 7 or more times in your Garden.

Have fun, and enjoy the Fairy Tale of Three Billy Goats Gruff!

New Supershroom Option!
Friday May 31st

Have you already completed the Butterfly levels, and got lots of spare Forest Ruby Jewels left over?

Great news - there's now a new option in the Shoppe to exchange your spare Forest Rubies for Supershrooms!

Supershrooms are of course the ultimate Mushroom for deterring unwanted visitors from your Garden, so they don't come easily and need to be earned - each one costs 10 Forest Rubies (or 5 Forest Ambers / Sunlights.)

Please note that you will only see this new option in the Shoppe after you have completed the Butterfly levels. So if you have not yet completed these, why not give them a go - they're a lot of fun and many people have said that this was their favourite of all the FL challenges!

Hi there! I'm the Fairyland Field Mouse. You've probably seen me around a few times!

Listen, I have a fun little challenge for you... and if you can complete it successfully, 100 Pink Diamonds and a Fairy Tale Seed are yours!

The challenge is to get 7 different types of wildlife spotted on a feeding table in your Garden.

Think about which Garden setups will give you the best chance of attracting a variety of different wildlife (changing your setup part-way through the plate is one thing you could try.) And of course, you'll need a good bit of luck on your side too!

When you think you've completed the challenge, return to this page and click me below so I can check your Garden.

My challenge will only be running until the end of May, so if you'd like to have a go at it, don't delay!

Wednesday May 1st

Viridia The Garden Fairy arrives Fairyland today, to tell her tale of Jack And The Beanstalk !

So if you have completed the tasks from the fourth Fairy Tale (The Ugly Duckling), then you can now attract Viridia to your Garden by purchasing the new Fairytale Pots, and planting Fairytale Seeds!

This Fairy Tale needs a little more figuring out than previous ones (some careful timing/planning is required!) so if you enjoy experimenting and figuring things out then you can go ahead and get started right away, or if you prefer to know exactly what you're doing first, you may prefer to hang back for a couple of days, and then check our forums to find out what others have discovered!

Monday April 22nd

Fairyland's Earth Flower is back again, just in time for Earth Day, which is today! (They're available slightly later than usual due to a small technical hiccup over the weekend - apologies for this!)

The Earth Flower does not attract any new wildlife, however it does help to protect a larger amount of rainforest than your usual Fairyland flower (10 sq ft per flower when harvested, which really adds up if everyone grows one!)

While you're out and about hunting for the Easter Bunny, remember to keep an empty nest in your own Garden. The Easter Bunny will then drop a decorated egg for you when you spot him, which will incubate in your nest.

Full details about the chicks which hatch from these eggs are in the Seasonal section of the Wildlife Guide.

Not finished building a nest yet? Don't worry - so that everyone can join the fun right away, you can get a ready-completed nest simply by clicking here! (There's only one freebie nest per Garden, so if you need more nests then you'll have to get building... empty nesting trees are available in the gift shoppe!)

The Easter Bunny's Mini-Challenge

Hello, I'm the Fairyland Easter Bunny!

I heard that some Fairylanders would like to earn some "eggs"tra Fairytale seeds while enjoying an "egg"citing egg-hunting challenge, so I have one right here for you!

I'll then check your Garden and award your Fairytale Seeds if you've completed the challenge successfully.

You will get 1 Fairytale Seed for completing the r"egg"ular (2 eggshell) challenge, and a further 2 Fairytale seeds (so 3 in total) if you complete the "eggs"pert challenge by getting seven different egg colours in your Garden at once.

This challenge will run until mid-April, so there's time for everyone to have a "crack" at it... good luck!"

The Leprechaun's Mini-Challenge

Well hello there, I'm the friendly Fairyland Leprechaun!

I heard that some Fairylanders would like a way to earn a Fairytale seed with a little gardening challenge, so I have one right here for you!

All you need to do is grow two Shamrocks of the 4-leaf variety together in your Garden. Careful not to let any of them go Ready For Harvest - both of them need to be "fully grown" in your garden at the same time.

When you have two of them in your Garden together (be doubly sure that they both have 4 leaves!), return here and click my little shamrock icon below. I'll then check your Garden and award your Fairytale Seed if you've completed the challenge successfully.

My challenge will only run until March 17th, so don't delay... have fun and good luck to you!"

Amare The Love Fairy  Arrives In Fairyland!
Friday March 1st

Amare The Love Fairy is a surprise arrival in Fairyland today (Formosinia The Blossom Fairy was due to arrive this month, but she's decided to come next month instead!)

Amare is here to tell her tale of The Frog Prince !

So if you have completed the tasks from the second Fairy Tale (The Three Bears), then you can now attract Amare to your Garden by purchasing the new Fairytale Pot, and planting a Fairytale Seed in it (you'll also notice there's another new pot in the Shoppe - a nice large wooden one, which you'll need to leave empty in your Garden ready for when Amare arrives!)

Not got many Fairytale Seeds? Don't worry, because there will be a couple of extra mini-challenges coming later this month which you can complete for bonus Fairytale Seeds! (And also, every Handsome Prince you spot will earn you a Fairytale Seed, so it's worth figuring out how to find him!)

Have fun, and enjoy the Fairy Tale!

Note: By request, we've also made it so that you can only sprinkle "Diamond Dust" on your own plants to speed their growth, and not plants in other Gardens. This is because many people had reported problems with their well-timed garden setups being spoiled (unintentionally of course) by other people Diamond Dusting their plants.

Cupid Mouse's Valentines Challenge!
Friday February 8th

Hi there, my name's Cupid Mouse!

You may already have seen me around in a few Gardens, but I'm especially busy this time of year as you can probably imagine, spreading the love all around Fairyland with my bow and heart-tipped arrows!

Listen - I have a little challenge for you, and if you can complete it successfully, I'll reward you with a Fairy Tale seed!

The challenge is to get 7 of my Valentines Roses flowering in your Garden at the same time. It's important they they are all flowering at the same time - don't let any of them go Ready For Harvest or they won't count!

As soon as you have 7, return to this page and click my little heart icon below and I'll check your Garden and give you your prize!

If you're not sure how to get the Valentines Roses, check my page in the Wildlife Guide, or ask around and someone is sure to help you :)

My challenge will run until the end of February, so there's plenty of time to choose a day that's good for you to attempt it.... Good luck!"

Love Is In The Air!
Thursday February 7th

Love is in the air in Fairyland - the Loveflower is now available again for sharing with friends!

When flowering, the Loveflower attracts beautiful Lovebirds to your Garden (remember to leave out some Bird Mix for them!)

And just like last year, you can give a secret Valentines Star-Dusting to any "Ready For Harvest" Loveflower in any Garden in Fairyland... and the Garden Owner will be left guessing who did it!

New Valentines Challenge Arriving Tomorrow!

Cupid Mouse actually never completely left Fairyland since he first arrived last February, because Fairylanders successfully managed to keep growing enough Valentines Roses to keep him visiting year-round! So this year, he is planning a fun little extra Valentines challenge for everyone (and will be giving a Fairy Tale seed as a reward if you manage to complete it!) so look out for more details tomorrow...

Auricoma The Golden Fairy  Arrives In Fairyland!
Friday February 1st

Auricoma The Golden Fairy arrives in Fairyland today, to tell her tale of The Three Bears!

So if you have completed the tasks from the first Fairy Tale (The Three Little Pigs), then you can now attract Auricoma to your Garden by purchasing the new Fairytale Pots, and planting Fairytale Seeds in them!

This Fairy Tale is a little more difficult than the previous one, so be sure to check carefully what is required, so you don't waste your precious Fairytale Seeds.

Have fun!

The First Flower Of Spring!
Wednesday January 30th

As the winter season draws to a close in Fairyland, and the snow melts away, the First Flowers of Spring  can be seen popping up around the Gardens!

When flowering, the First Flower of Spring will attract the Groundhog to your Garden. (According to Fairyland Folklore, when the Groundhogs leave hibernation and begin visiting the Gardens again, it's a sure sign that winter will soon be over and spring is just around the corner!)

Also, when Ready For Harvest, the First Flower of Spring is capable of producing rain showers in your Garden... but remember that you need to have a cloud in your sky first (to get this, you'll need to have a Ready For Harvest Cumulus  flower in the 'White Marshmallow' pot) - there can't be any rain unless there's a cloud in the sky!

When 'Ready For Harvest', it will attract the Pelican to your Garden, which will drop a Amethyst Birthstone every 10th time you spot it in other Gardens!

Remember that this year, there are 2 possible Babies which can be born from each Birthstone, and for the Amethyst Birthstone, it's Baby Meerkats and Baby Wallabies!

It's a FREE SUPERFOOD Weekend!!
Friday January 11th

Fairyland's 5th Birthday celebrations wouldn't be complete without a Free Superfood Weekend... and one begins today!

Update: The Free Superfood offer has now ended!

Everyone can take advantage of the free Superfood, the only conditions are that you allow everyone to freely hunt in your Garden (it's not available while your Garden is set to "private") and that you can't clear Superfood plates for at least 2 hours after they have been put out.

To get the free Superfood, simply refill your feeding tables as you usually would, and (assuming your Garden is public) you will see the "Free Superfood" option in the Shoppe!

o O o

On a separate note, we've been receiving a lot of feedback on our forums that "Fairytale Seeds" have become far too easy to collect, because of a loophole where a garden could be set up to attract Fairies indefinitely with just 1 Fairytale Seed (this would actually have made Fairytale Seeds ridiculously easy to earn during our free Superfood weekend!) Another unfortunate side effect of this loophole being exploited was that many people were therefore only hunting for Fairies and not for the other Fairytale Wildlife, which meant that lots of gardens were sadly having their Fairytale wildlife missed completely :(

So the Fairies have found a solution to this problem, and they will now only drop a Fairytale Seed the very first time you spot them (and then regular Forest Ambers/Sunlights every 10th time) thereby encouraging everyone to hunt all the other Fairytale Wildlife instead to find Fairytale Seeds (Little Pigs & Wolves all still drop a seed for every 10th spotted :) This will hopefully make the Fairytale Seeds a little more challenging and precious to find once again, and will also mean that Little Pigs etc don't get missed too often!

Finally (just in case you were already well on your way to spotting 10 Fairies to get your next Fairytale Seed) the gift below contains a free one to make up for it :)

Click Me!

Thanks for the feedback and for your patience while we iron out the little problems with the new Fairy Tales. Enjoy the Free Superfood Weekend!

Fairyland Fairy Tales!
Wednesday January 2nd

We're celebrating Fairyland's 5th Birthday this month, and our big birthday surprise has just arrived!

Mystery Seeds have now become Fairytale Seeds and they've opened up a whole new world of Fairy Tales in Fairyland!

Haven't found any Fairytale Seeds yet? Don't worry - we're giving everyone a couple of extra free ones to help you get started :)

The first Fairy Tale is The Three Little Pigs, which is told by Esteparata The Wise Fairy.

Here's a quick guide to the Fairy Tales, and how to get started:

Fairytale Seeds & Fairytale Pots

Mystery Seeds (dropped by Albino Wildlife, and now also the Fairytale Wildlife) have now become "Fairytale Seeds". You can find yours in the Misc section of the Seed Shoppe.
These need to be planted in the new Fairytale Pots, which are available now in the Pot Shoppe.

Fairytale Pots are purchased with Pink Diamonds, and the first ones are very cheap - only 5 Pink Diamonds each. As you progress through the Fairy Tale levels, more Pink Diamonds will be needed to purchase the pots, so keep collecting them!

The Fairytale Seed will grow into a Fairytale Toadstool (which won't do much... until it's Ready For Harvest!)

Be careful not to confuse Fairytale Toadstools with Magical Mushrooms... they're completely different things in Fairyland, and you will still need to use a Magical Mushroom to deter mice!
Fairies & Fairytale Wildlife

When a Fairytale Toadstool is Ready For Harvest in your Garden, leave out some Wild Berries on a feeding table, and you will attract a Fairy (be sure that you only leave out the Wild Berries after the Toadstool has become Ready For Harvest, otherwise they will just go to waste.)
When the Fairy is spotted in your Garden, she will harvest the fruit of the Fairytale Toadstool for you, and then sit upon the toadstool as she tells her Fairy Tale!
The item she harvested and placed in your Garden will then begin attracting the wildlife which feature in her Fairy Tale :)
Have Fun!

This has just been a very brief introduction to Fairyland's Fairy Tales... you will discover everything else for yourself as you embark upon your journey through the different Fairy Tale challenges!

As a final note, please remember that Fairyland's Fairy Tales are a long-term challenge. Fairytale seeds and Pink Diamonds take time to collect, so you won't just be able to complete a Fairy Tale in 10 minutes - you'll need to complete them over time at your own pace, returning to them as and when you have collected enough Fairytale seeds / Pink Diamonds to complete the next part of the challenge.

We hope that you enjoy Fairyland's Fairy Tales, and wish you much fun and new friendships on your journey!

Note: The Food Shoppe now stocks Wild Berries instead of Nuts. Any wildlife which previously ate Nuts will now happily eat Bird Mix instead :)

Happy New Year!
(And Happy 5th Birthday Fairyland!)
Monday December 31st

It's the final day of 2012 (or it may already be 2013, depending on where or when you read this!) so we would like to wish everyone a very happy and magical new year!

January 1st is an extra special day in Fairyland because it's also our 5th Birthday, and to get the celebrations started, here's a small gift for everyone!

Click Me!

We have a very exciting new release coming up within the next couple of days to mark our 5th birthday - those Mystery Seeds and Pink Diamonds will finally be revealing their secrets, so look out for more news about this very soon!

Finally, we would just like to take this opportunity to thank everyone for all your support over our first 5 years, and for making Fairyland such a fun, friendly and magical place. Here's to many more years of Fairyland fun and magic to come :)

See you in 2013!

The New Year Flower does not attract any wildlife so will not affect your current garden setup... but it will bring a beautiful firework display to your Garden in time to celebrate the new year!

And of course, the new year is an extra special occasion in Fairyland, because we will also be celebrating our 5th birthday this year!

To mark the occasion, something very special will be arriving in Fairyland in the first week of January... look out for more news soon!

When 'Ready For Harvest', it will attract the Sea Goat to your Garden, which will drop a Garnet Birthstone every 10th time you spot it in other Gardens!

Remember that this year, there are 2 possible Babies which can be born from each Birthstone, and for the Garnet Birthstone, it's Baby Foxes and Baby Wombats!

Baby Fox

Baby Wombat

(Wombats are not easy wildlife to attract, so this is definitely one for those who like a challenge!)

For full details on how to use birthstones to make baby wildlife, please see the 'Babies' section of the Wildlife Guide.

Happy baby making!

Pink Diamonds!
Friday December 14th

Starting today, the Fairyland wildlife have begun dropping bonus Pink Diamonds, as well as regular ones!

If you're lucky enough to spot any wildlife within 5 minutes of its arrival in a Garden, it will drop a bonus Pink Diamond for both the spotter and the Garden owner. (All wildlife, from the humble mouse to the rarest of the unicorns, will drop the exact same bonus of 1 Pink Diamond.)

Pink Diamonds are added to your total instantly when you spot the wildlife in another Garden. For wildlife spotted in your own Garden, the Pink Diamonds will be added to your total when you next clear your feeding table (the same as regular Diamonds.)

Finally, you're probably wondering what these new Pink Diamonds are used for? Well, you'll have to wait just a little longer, and all will be revealed when we celebrate Fairyland's 5th Birthday in January!

Festive Hand-Painted Pots!
Thursday December 6th

The festive season wouldn't be complete without some nice new Hand-Painted pots, and some great new Limited Editions are now available in the Pot Shoppe!

There are 5 new festive pot designs (one is available each day, until the end of December), along with limited edition seasonal pot colours - red and white.

And that's not all - there are some delightful seasonal brims available too!

Finally, the Poinsettia and the Ice Flower are now also available as free seeds in the "Misc" section of the Seed Shoppe, so you can plant them in your new festive pots :)

Happy festive pot making!

It's Time To Decorate The Tree!
Saturday December 1st

Fairyland has a fabulous new Christmas Tree this year... and it needs your help to decorate it!

Get started right away by sharing trees with your friends:

Share The Link

Send Gifts

How It Works

Decorating the tree is very similar to building snowmen or scarecrows - you need to collect the various items with which to decorate it - streamers, garlands, gifts, baubles and lights. That's 5 items in all.

These items are dropped by the winter seasonal wildlife - see the Seasonal section of the Wildlife Guide for full details.

You'll notice that the winter seasonal wildlife now drop both the snowman-building items and the tree-decorating items. However they will only drop ONE item for every 5th spot (either a snowman item or a tree decoration, but not both.) If you happen to have 2 things in your garden which need decorating (e.g. a tree and a snowman), then it's always the leftmost one which will get priority - so make sure you arrange your Garden with this in mind!

When fully decorated, the tree is guaranteed to make your Garden look fabulously festive, and it will also attract all the usual Christmas Tree wildlife (including Rudolph and Polar Bears!)

Happy decorating!
Special Offer - Ends This Weekend!
Wednesday November 28th

Just a reminder that our Double Star Dust offer ends this weekend, so if you would like to take advantage of it, be quick!

View Special Offer

We don't run special offers very often, so if you would like some extra Gold/Star Dust for the new year (and the fantastic new things which are arriving in Fairyland in January!) then be sure to take advantage of this offer while it's available!

Poinsettias, Ice Flowers & Snowmen!
Tuesday November 27th

The festive season is fast approaching... and there's a new seasonal challenge arriving in Fairyland this year!

But to get started, our regular seasonal plants (and the Snowmen) are here once again!

First up, the Poinsettia is now available in the Gift Shoppe for sharing with friends:

When flowering, the Poinsettia will attract seasonal birds your Garden (Cardinals and Robins), and when harvested, all Poinsettias release a small but welcome gift of Gold!

Our regular Ice Flowers are also now available in the Gift Shoppe for sharing with friends:

While flowering, the Ice Flower will bring a beautiful flurry of snow to your Garden, attracting cold-weather wildlife such as the Arctic Fox and the Arctic Hare.

And as usual, whenever the snow is falling in your Garden, any Mice & Mallards visiting will be dressed in their best festive outfits, and will give double diamonds when spotted!

And finally, you can now build Snowmen again!

This year, Snowman parts are dropped for every 5th spot of seasonal wildlife (instead of every 10th.) And as an extra bonus, there's a brand new wintry garden effect to enjoy this year after you have completed a Snowman! (Or if you already built a Snowman last year and don't want to build another this year, then you can also Star Dust last year's Snowman to get the effect... although that's not nearly so much fun as building a new one!)

Not sure how to build a Snowman? Put one in your Garden, and it will have a "Help" link which you can click to get all the info you need :)

One Final Albino!
Monday November 26th

The most popular suggestion we received for the 10th and final Albino (for this year anyway!) was the Chipmunk, so Albino Chipmunks are now on the loose in Fairyland!

Albino Chipmunk

Remember that all Albinos will drop a very special "Mystery Seed" the first time you spot them (these will become plantable in January as part of Fairyland's 5th Birthday celebrations... and we can guarantee that something fantastic is coming, so try to get one or two before then if you can!)

Sagittarius Zodiac Gifts Now Available!
Tuesday November 20th

It's Zodiac time of the month again, and the Sagittarius seed is now available in the gift shoppe for sharing with friends!

When 'Ready For Harvest', it will of course attract the handsome Centaur to your Garden, who will drop a Blue Topaz Birthstone every 10th time you spot him in other Gardens (note: Centaurs only eat Veggies!)

Remember that this year, there are 2 possible Babies which can be born from each Birthstone, and for the Blue Topaz Birthstone, it's Baby Elephants and Baby Aardvarks!

Baby Elephant

Baby Aardvark

For full details on how to use birthstones to make baby wildlife, please see the 'Babies' section of the Wildlife Guide.
Happy baby making!

Special Offer - Double Star Dust!
Friday November 16th

Great news - another of our Double Star Dust offers starts today!

This time around, we have extended the offer to ALL purchases of Gold, large or small (although the larger purchases give the best value for money!)

So why not go ahead and treat yourself (or a friend) and help to support the future development of Fairyland :)

  View Special Offer

The offer is only available for the next 2 weeks - don't miss your chance!

New Albino Wildlife!
Friday November 9th

Some new and very rare wildlife have been spotted around Fairyland over the last few days - Albino versions of some of the regular Fairyland wildlife:

Albino Kangaroo

Albino Brown Bunny

Albino Grey Squirrel

And that's not all - there's one more new arrival just arrived today... can you tell what it is? (Should be an easy one to guess!)

???

Remember that Albinos are extremely rare - only about 5-10% of the population of each of these wildlife types are Albino (which means that on average, you'll only get 1 Albino Kangaroo in every 10-20 regular Kangaroos for example.)

However if do you manage to spot one of these new Albinos, it will drop a very special "Mystery Seed" the first time you spot it!

This Mystery Seed cannot yet be planted, but will become plantable in January, as part of Fairyland's 5th Birthday celebrations!

...and what's coming in January promises to be the most fun & exciting thing to arrive in Fairyland yet, so try to find at least 1 or 2 Mystery Seeds if you can - there's plenty of time between now and January to find them, so no rush :)

Poppies Now Available!
Tuesday November 6th

Limited Edition Poppies are now available in the Gift Shoppe for sending to friends!

When 'ready for harvest', Poppies will attract beautiful Peace Doves to your Garden!
Get Your Scarecrows Ready...
Friday October 26th

There are just a few days to go until Halloween!

Have you built a Scarecrow yet? If not, click the Scarecrow picture below to get yourself a stick and start building!

...then remember to leave your favourite completed Scarecrows out in your Garden for when Halloween arrives... who knows what may happen?!!

A Few Recent Improvements...
Thursday October 25th

Over the last few days we've had chance to make a number of improvements based on suggestions/feedback we've received... here are a few which you may like to know about:

Garden Search
The "Garden Search" box on the "All Gardens" page had been broken for some time, but is now fixed and fully functional :)

Garden Game Expiry Alert
If you like to keep a "Garden Game" running in your garden, then you'll notice that it now highlights in red when it's about to expire or has just expired, which should help you spot when it needs replacing!

Garden Status
On the "All Gardens" page, you may notice a few more gardens with a green status "1" symbol. This simply means that that the garden has been watered by someone very recently (within the last minute) so there's probably less chance of spotting wildlife in that garden right now.

'Garden Last Watered' Message
We fixed a small glitch with the "This garden was last watered ... ago" message you see when you first enter/refresh a garden, so it should now always be correct. (It used to be correct most of the time, except for when the plant which was last watered had been harvested or removed!)

'Are You Sure?' Confirmations
We received reports that some people were accidentally harvesting Scarecrows or discarding plants when they didn't intend to, so we have made the "Are you sure?" messages for these actions bright red instead of green. This should help prevent any future accidents :)

Scorpio Zodiac Gifts Now Available!
Sunday October 21st

We need to briefly interrupt the Halloween fun because it's Zodiac time of the month again, and the Scorpio seed is now available in the gift shoppe for sharing with friends!

When 'Ready For Harvest', it will of course attract Scorpions to your Garden, which will drop a Citrine Birthstone every 10th time you spot one in other Gardens.

Remember that this year, there are 2 possible Babies which can be born from each Birthstone, and for the Citrine Birthstone, it's Baby Tortoises and Baby Gazelles!

Baby Tortoise

Baby Gazelle

For full details on how to use birthstones to make baby wildlife, please see the 'Babies' section of the Wildlife Guide.

Happy baby making!

Halloween Flower Seeds Now Available!
Monday October 15th

Want to plant your Halloween Flowers in your nice new Hand-Painted Halloween pots, instead of the "Pumpkin Pots" they usually come in?

Well now you can! The Halloween Flowers are now available separately as seeds, so you can set your Garden up exactly the way you want it for Halloween!

They're completely FREE and you'll find them in the "Misc" section of the Shoppe when you go to buy a seed for an empty pot.

Finally, the witches which appear after your Halloween Flower is Ready For Harvest (and cause Mice and Mallards to become ghosts!) will now last for 7 days instead of 3, so you don't need to keep re-planting so often :)

Seasonal Challenge: Build A Scarecrow!
Thursday October 11th

It's time for a new seasonal challenge - Scarecrow building!

First, help your friends to get started by sending them a stick!

How It Works

After you have a stick in your Garden (you can have more than one if you wish), your task is to then build your Scarecrow by finding a head, a hat, a shirt and some legs for it. That's 4 different items in all.

These items are dropped by the Halloween seasonal wildlife (bats, cats, and ghostly wildlife) - every 5th you spot of each type (in other Gardens) will drop an item for you. See the Seasonal section of the Wildlife Guide for full details!

What happens after that? You'll find out soon enough...!

Have fun!

Fairyland Is About To Become Very Spooky!
Tuesday October 9th

It looks like Fairyland is about to become very spooky because the Shoppe is now stocking its first Halloween items!

First up, our regular Halloween Flower is back, and is available now for gifting to friends:

A "ready for harvest" Halloween Flower will bring the Halloween witches to fly around your Garden for 3 days. Those witches will then cast a spell over any Mice and Mallards entering your Garden, turning them into ghosts (which are worth double diamonds, and drop 'Trick or Treat' seeds!)

There are also some new Halloween Hand-Painted Pot designs available from today. There are 5 Halloween-themed designs in all, with a new one appearing each day (they will keep coming back around again until the end of October - so don't worry if you miss one.)

There's also a new Limited Edition black in the colour options, which is of course the perfect colour to complement any Halloween Garden :)

That's all for today, but there's a brand new seasonal challenge arriving later this week, so make sure you have at least one Halloween Flower growing in preparation!

It's Time To Turn Fairyland Pink Again!
Monday October 1st

Every October, Fairyland turns pink to help raise breast cancer awareness, and our Pink Plant is now available for sending to friends.

You can send them to as many friends as you wish, whether they're already on Fairyland or not:

As you can see, it comes in a nice new "Hand-Painted" style pot this year! But that's not all because both the new "Hot Pink" pot colour and the Pink Ribbon design are also available in the Hand-Painted Pot Shoppe as Limited Editions throughout October, so you can create your own variations!

Finally, don't forget about the "pink" wildlife (Pink Elephants and Flamingos) which can be found around Fairyland at this time of year!
Libra Zodiac Gifts Now Available!
Thursday September 20th

It's that time of the month again, and the Libra Zodiac seed is now available in the gift shoppe for sending to friends!

When 'Ready For Harvest', it will attract Peacocks to your Garden, which will drop an Opal Birthstone every 10th time you spot one in other Gardens.

Remember that this year, there are 2 possible Babies which can be born from each Birthstone, and the Opal Birthstone can be used to make either
Baby Hedgehogs or Baby Kangaroos!

Monday August 27th

Then pay a visit to the Pot Shoppe and check out the new 'Hand-Painted Flowerpots' which are available from today!

The great thing about these pots is that they are fully customizable with your preferred colours and designs. A different pot design will be available each day, so if you don't like today's one (coloured spots), then maybe you'll like tomorrow's one better! (Don't worry too much if you miss a design you like, as they will always come back round again :)

It's that time of the month again, and the Virgo Zodiac seed is now available in the gift shoppe for sending to friends!

When 'Ready For Harvest', it will attract Storks to your Garden, which will drop a Sapphire Birthstone every 10th time you spot one in other Gardens.

Remember that this year, there are 2 possible Babies which can be born from each Birthstone, and the Sapphire Birthstone can be used to make either
Baby Deer or Baby Camels!

Baby Deer

Baby Camel

Special Offer!
Thursday August 16th

View Special Offer

That's double the usual amount of Star Dust, plus a little extra Gold too, all for the same price as before!

So why not go ahead and treat yourself (or a friend) help to support the future development of Fairyland :)

The offer is only available for a couple of weeks, and there won't be another for some time, so don't miss your chance!

Remove Unwanted Background Effects!
Wednesday August 15th

A small but useful new feature has arrived today... you can now view a list of all background effects which are currently frozen in your Garden, and individually remove any which you no longer want!

To do this, simply click the "Star Dust" button just below your garden (the same one used to freeze your background) and in the message box popup that appears you'll now also see the new option to "View/Remove Individual Effects." (Note: you'll only see this option when you already have some frozen effects in your Garden.) And of course, it costs nothing at all to remove an effect - you can do it whenever you wish!

Thanks to everyone who suggested this feature, have fun with it!

Aurora Stones !
Thursday August 9th

Collected a few extra Diamonds during the Free Superfood weekend and looking for something nice to spend them on?

Well if you like Fairyland's Magical Pots and background effects, then you'll be happy to hear that a new one has arrived today - Aurora Stones!

The Aurora Stones may not look like much... but they're capable of producing a colourful background effect in your Garden when the correct flower is growing in them (we've received many requests for this particular background effect!)

They are only available at Garden Level 20 and above, because their magical effect is activated by the flowering Piscis Aquabullae, which becomes available at that level.

Different colours of Piscis flower produce different (but complementary) effects in your Garden, so if you have a few sets of Aurora Stones, you can combine multiple effects together to get more of an overall effect.

Finally, it's also possible to change the overall effect by using one of the existing magical pots, the Old Boot, to also produce a wind effect in your Garden - try it and see what happens!

It's a FREE SUPERFOOD Weekend!!
Friday August 3rd

Get ready for a wildlife population explosion in Fairyland because it's time for one of our (very occasional) Free Superfood Weekends, which begins right now!

Everyone can take advantage of the free Superfood, the only condition being that your garden needs to be "public" so that everyone can freely hunt. (If you have made your Garden "private" then you can still take advantage simply by making your Garden public :)

Simply refill your feeding tables as you usually would, and you will see the "Free Superfood" option in the Shoppe!
Limited Edition Olympic Pots!
Friday July 27th

Today marks the official opening of the Games of the XXX Olympiad in London, England.

With Fairyland being the truly global community that it is, it seems fitting to introduce some nice Limited Edition items to commemorate the Games.

Of course, we can't use any Olympic symbols or trademarks in Fairyland (or we may land ourselves in trouble!), but inspired by suggestions we received on our forums, we've come up with these special Limited Edition pots which you can buy for your Garden (you'll find them in the "Limited Editions" section of the Pot Shoppe.)

The pot design is based on a style of pillar found in ancient Greek architecture (to represent the origins of the Olympics), and they come in the colours gold, silver and bronze (to represent the medal colours.) They're also of slightly different heights (just like the medal podiums!)

So when your country wins a medal, be proud and plant a flower in the appropriate pot in your Garden!

These Limited Editions are available until the Games close, on August 12th.

Leo Zodiac Gifts Now Available!
Wednesday July 18th

It's that time of the month again, and the Leo Zodiac seed is available in the gift shoppe for sending to friends!

When 'Ready For Harvest', it will attract Lions to your Garden, who will drop a Peridot Birthstone every 10th time you spot one in other Gardens.

New! It's been exactly a year since Birthstones first appeared in Fairyland, and many Gardens already made Baby Brown Bunnies from the Peridot Birthstone last year. So this year, each Birthstone will be capable of producing a new baby (as well as the original one, so you can choose which one you'd like to go for, or do both!)

For this month's Peridot Birthstone, the new baby is the Giraffe!

For full details about birthstones and baby wildlife, please see the 'Babies' section of the Wildlife Guide. (Note: You can use any spare Peridot Birthstones you may already have in storage to make baby Giraffes - so there's no need to collect new ones if you already have some saved :)

Finally, because there are now 2 possible different babies each month, Mother & Baby pairs will begin returning to your Garden a little earlier than before - after only 5 Babies have been born in your Garden, rather than 10 (remember to try and get "twins" born in your Garden if possible, and you'll reach 5 in no time :)

Happy baby making!

Forget-me-not
Monday July 16th

We receive many great suggestions for things you'd like to see in Fairyland, and although it's impossible for us to do them all, we like to introduce a few of them to the game whenever we can.

One request which has come up numerous times is for a remembrance / memorial plant, so today, a beautiful new Forget-me-not flower has arrived in Fairyland (you can find the seed in the 'Misc' section of the Seed Shoppe.)

When Ready For Harvest, the Forget-me-not will become a candle with an ever-burning flame. It has no effect on wildlife visiting your garden, so can simply be placed in your Garden whenever you wish.

Do you have any requests for new plants/pots/backgrounds etc which you would like to see in Fairyland in the future? Please let us know in the "Feedback/Suggestions" section at the bottom of our Forums page, and one day it may just happen!

Chick Challenge (The Final Chapter!)
Thursday July 5th

As promised, a few more Fairyland birds have started nesting today, which means more super-cute chicks will soon be hatching in Fairyland Gardens!

Full details of the new arrivals are in the 'Chicks' section of the Wildlife Guide...

We hope that you enjoy the final part of this challenge.... or if you're not so keen on the birds/chicks, then the good news for you is that this is the last of them! ;)

Grow An Earth Flower - For Earth Hour!
Friday March 23rd

Earth Hour is this Monday, and people all over the world will be turning out their lights for an hour from 8:30pm - 9:30pm, to promote awareness of the need to protect our planet for future generations.

If you wish, you can 'turn out the lights' in your Fairyland Garden too, with our Limited Edition Earth Flower, available for gifting now for free! When Fully Grown (or Ready For Harvest), the Earth Flower will allow you to turn out the lights in your Garden for 1 hour at the time of your choosing - aim for 8:30pm on Monday, your local time. (Please note that there's no special wildlife attracted to the Earth Flower, but it does look very nice in the Garden :)

Fairyland is a truly global community, so it should be fun to see Gardens in different timezeones going dark at different times throughout the day on Monday!

Set Your Own Maximum "Wildlife Alert" Time!
Thursday March 22nd

A nice little feature has been added today, following feedback we've received recently - you can now set the maximum possible time for "wildlife alerts" in your own Garden :) "Wildlife alerts" are the advance warnings which some types of short-staying wildlife (chicks, babies, hummingbirds, butterflies etc) give before they feed, to let you know they're coming. Until now, these would always last for anything up to 30 minutes. Many Gardens will likely just leave things the way they are now (i.e. a maximum alert time of 30 minutes) as these alerts are useful for getting your short-staying wildlife spotted. But some very busy Gardens may now choose to have shorter alerts (or even switch off alerts completely!)

You can find this new option in the "About This Garden" section of your Garden. Have fun experimenting with the new alerts :)

Aries Zodiac Gifts Now Available!
Monday March 19th

Most Gardens are currently enjoying the egg-hunting challenge, so it will probably be a while before anyone plants this month's Zodiac seed... but it's that time of the month, so it's available now anyway for anyone who wants it!

When 'Ready For Harvest', it will attract Rams to your Garden. Rams will drop a Diamond Birthstone every 10th time you spot one in other Gardens. You can then use these Birthstones to help make cute baby Badgers in your Garden! (Full details about baby wildlife are in the Wildlife Guide.)

Badgers are notoriously difficult to attract at the best of times, so remember to be patient with them! (The birthstones never expire of course, so Badgers can simply be attracted gradually over a period of time.)

Storing Nests (In Need Of Repair)
Monday March 19th

We've received a number of requests to be able to "store" nests which are in need of repair (all nests, except for hummingbird nests, need a little repairing after every 5 eggs.)

Great news - this is now possible, so you can now store any nests which need repairing, and then repair them at a more convenient time (for example, overnight is a popular time to set your Garden up for nest repairs!)

Golden Daffodils!
Friday March 16th

Something we forgot to mention in all the excitement yesterday was that all Daffodils give bonus Gold when harvested this year - every one is guaranteed to give 10 Gold (and if you're really lucky, you may get a little more than that sometimes!)

So keep growing them throughout the next few weeks, and they will not only make your Garden look pretty and attract plenty of Easter Bunnies for your visitors to spot, but they'll also provide you with an extra source of free Gold :) Better still, we've just made Daffodils available in the regular Seed Shoppe too (in the "Misc" section) which means that you can plant them just like normal seeds, in any pot you like... and even better still - they're completely FREE!

Enjoy :)

The Great Fairyland Easter Bunny Hunt Is Back!
Thursday March 15th

It's time for this year's Great Fairyland Easter Bunny Hunt to begin!

Daffodils are now available for gifting to friends - these will attract the Easter Bunny to your Garden! There's a whole new twist this year's Easter hunt... and it's time to start make use of those nests you've been building!

While hunting the Easter Bunny, keep an empty nest in your Garden... then when you spot a bunny (in another garden) he will drop an egg for you.

Incubate this egg in your nest, leaving some Bird Mix out in your Garden at the same time (on a low table) and it will soon hatch!

Not finished building a nest yet?

Don't worry - so that everyone can join the fun right away, you can now get one ready-completed nest simply by clicking here! (But there's only one freebie nest per Garden - if you want more than one then you'll need to get nest-building ;)

Nest repairs: Nests don't last forever - each one can host 5 eggs (one after the other, not at the same time) before it will need a little repair work. This simply means that it goes back to 80% complete, and you'll need to get some help from your feathered friends to repair it. (Tip: nest parts added by Hummingbirds don't ever need repairing, so if you can manage to build yourself an all-hummingbird nest then you'll never need to repair it :)

What hatches from the eggs?

Different coloured eggs hatch different coloured chicks, so for example the red egg only hatches red chicks, but the violet egg randomly hatches any colour chick (with equal chance.) Please see the Seasonal section in the Wildlife Guide for full details (the chicks even drop triple seeds for every 10th spotted - great news if you're collecting for Supershrooms etc!) Finally, let's try to break last year's record!

Here's a reminder of how many Easter Bunnies were spotted in previous years... can we spot even more Bunnies this year (by the end of April)?!

2010:401,201 bunnies spotted

2011:430,460 bunnies spotted

2012:???

Happy Egg Hunting!

Leprechauns and Shamrocks!
Thursday March 8th

As many Fairylanders already know, early March is the time of year when the Leprechauns pay us a visit! Leprechauns can be spotted in and around the Gardens mischeivously stealing the veggies which have been left out for Wildlife! They are attracted to Gardens with fully grown Shamrocks, and these are available now for gifting to friends. (Remember that you can also send them to friends who aren't on Fairyland yet - especially if you have any Irish friends who may appreciate one!)

Send Gifts

This year, Leprechauns drop Forest Emerald seeds for every 10th spotted in other Gardens (many Fairylanders commented last year that the Emerald would be the most appropriate seed for them to drop, and the Leprechauns agreed!) Finally, as an additional bonus, every Shamrock releases a small Pot O' Gold when harvested... and if you're super-lucky and manage to grow a 4-leaf Shamrock, it will produce a magical garden effect along with a bigger Pot O' Gold! (Approximately 1 in 10 Fairyland Shamrocks will grow 4 leaves.)

Good luck!

Spring Seasonal Challenge - Nest Building!
Tuesday February 21st

Spring is in the air in Fairyland, and it's the perfect time for the birds to start building their nests. But they can't do it alone - they'll need a helping hand from the Fairies and Elves of Fairyland... which means it's time for a brand new Fairyland Seasonal Challenge for Spring: Nest Building!

First, you'll need to provide the birds with somewhere to build their nests in your Garden - a Nesting Tree. These are available now as free gifts for sharing with friends:

After you have a Nesting Tree in your Garden, your next task is then to attract different birds to your Garden to build a nest in it! All adult birds in Fairyland can help to build a nest, and each nest requires the help of 5 different birds to complete it. Every 5th of each type of bird attracted to your Garden (and spotted) will add a little more to your nest.

So as an example, if you have already had 3 Wrens, 8 Yellow Wagtails, 9 Pairs of Lovebirds, 21 Mallards and 12 Magpies spotted in your Garden, you will need to attract a further 2 Wrens, 2 Yellow Wagtails, 1 Pair of Lovebirds, 4 Mallards and 3 Magpies (and have them all spotted either by your visitors or by yourself) to complete your first nest. (Any combination of 5 different birds is ok!)

After you've set your Garden up with a Nesting Tree, and flowers/food to attract birds, remember to help your friends complete their nests by spotting birds in their Gardens for them!

What Can I Do With A Finished Nest?

Nothing.... yet! All you can do just now is to send completed nests to your storage area for safe keeping. Then all will be revealed around mid-March - this should give everyone plenty of time to get at least one nest finished and ready :)

In fact, if you can get your first nest finished in good time, then it's a good idea to build another... having more than one will definitely be useful later!

(If you enjoy a challenge, you could even try for an all-hummingbird-built nest!)

Pisces Zodiac Gifts Now Available!
Friday February 17th

It's time for this month's Zodiac seed - Pisces - which is available now in the Gift Shoppe for sending to friends...

Send Gifts

When 'Ready For Harvest', it will attract Fish to your Garden (special fish which can breathe out of water, apparently!) These Fish will drop an Aquamarine birthstone every 10th time you spot one in other Gardens. You can then use these Birthstones to help make cute baby Raccoons in your Garden! (Full details about baby wildlife are in the Wildlife Guide)

Cupid Mouse Arrives To Spread The Love!
Monday February 6th

There's a new arrival in Fairyland today - meet Cupid Mouse! Cupid Mouse's mission is to "spread the love" thoughout Fairyland by slowly but surely visiting every single Garden!

But he can only do this with the help of all the Fairies and Elves, so here's what you need to do... Similar to other "special" mice, Cupid Mouse will visit your garden in place of the regular Field Mouse whenever you have a flowering Valentine Rose in your Garden.

The Valentine Rose looks like this:

Starting today and until February 14th, all newly created Fairyland Gardens will automatically receive a Valentine Rose. So to begin with, brand new Gardens will be the only ones capable of attracting Cupid Mouse. To get a Valentine Rose for your own Garden, you need to spot a Cupid Mouse in someone else's Garden, while at the same time ensuring that you have an empty "Glass Vase" in your own Garden (this is the pot which comes free with the Loveflower gift.)

Then when you manage to spot Cupid Mouse, he will fire his arrow over into your Garden, which will land in the empty vase and grow into your own beautiful Valentine Rose. While flowering, your Valentine Rose will then attract Cupid Mouse to your own Garden (it flowers for just 1 day, so be sure he doesn't have too much other competition for the food!)

In this way, Cupid Mouse will slowly but surely "spead the love" throughout Fairyland as he visits more and more Gardens! (This also means that he will become easier to spot over time, so don't worry if you can't spot him immediately...)

There are always a few new Gardens starting in Fairyland every day so the first few Cupid Mouse visits should be coming soon. Or to get things kick-started faster, you could also invite a few friends to start new Gardens! (If you were looking for an excuse to invite a few friends to Fairyland, then what better time to do it than now?!)

Invite Friends To Fairyland!

Have fun spreading the Love throughout Fairyland!

Loveflowers!
Wednesday February 1st

February is the Month of Love in Fairyland, and it begins today with the arrival of the Loveflower, available now for sharing with friends:

When flowering, the Loveflower attracts beautiful Lovebirds to your Garden (remember to leave out some Bird Mix for them!)

And just like last year, you can secretly Star-Dust a "Ready For Harvest" Loveflower in any Garden in Fairyland... and the Garden Owner will be left guessing who did it! Whose Loveflower(s) will you Star-Dust this year, and will you receive a secret Star-Dusting yourself?!

And that's not all... coming to Fairyland early next week is a very special Valentine's visitor, who will bring a slightly different twist to things, which should be a lot of fun! (More news on this soon...)
