Bottom Dwellers
The Bottom Dwellers challenge was introduced in July 2014.
This was the final Pond Challenge introduced into Fairyland... your task is to attract the wildlife
which lives at the bottom of the Garden Pond - the so-called "Bottom Dwellers"!
As you would expect with this being the final challenge in the series, it is a pretty challenging one, so you should ensure that you have successfully completed the previous Pond Challenges before attempting it.
As you'll discover, part of the fun of this challenge is that you'll need to enlist the help of many
of the previous Pond Wildlife to help you complete it, which means that your planning/organisation
skills will be very important!

Where to begin ...
Before getting underway, as always it is good to prepare ahead so that everything goes smoothly. The more you plan, the easier the task.
Preparing for these Challenges
1. Read the Frog Breeding Guide before you get started to make sure you know what is ahead of you.
2. Make sure you have finished all the spotting requirements for the bottom dwellers you wish to attract. There
is nothing worse than getting all setup only to find you need to spot something before you can buy your Coral.

3. Make sure you have enough of the following resources:
- Underwater toadstool seeds.
- Pink diamonds to purchase Wild Berries and your Rocks from Ye Olde Fairyland Pot Shoppe.
- Pink diamonds to purchase your Corals from the Seed Shoppe.
- Jewel seeds for Supershrooms and guppy deterrents.
- Gold to purchase the correct food for each Pond Mythological, as you may need to dump food to move one.
- Used Rocks in which to plant your Coral.
- Enough Frog Sets to get Frogspawn (refer to the Frog Breeding Guide)

Important things to note:
1. Make sure you have unlocked all your mushrooms up to and including the Pink Cap Mushroom.
2. You will need to attract a different Pond Mythological first as these wildlife plant the Pondweed that attracts
the different coloured Guppies needed to colour our Corals, now that you finished the Rainbow of Fish
you can use your Rainbow Rocks to plant your mushrooms in, instead of growing them. If you haven't
completed the Rainbow of Fish yet, read our guide for combining these two challenges together instead.
3. Make sure the first of each Coral is ready for harvest (RFH) before removing from your garden,
you will NOT be able to move on if you do not harvest it.
4. If you have started frog breeding make sure you use a fully grown (FG) Dulcia Somniflora when using
Wild Berries to deter Underwater Frogs (high tables) and Froglets (low tables) if not wanted or needed.
See the Frog Breeding Guide for more details.
5. Make sure you attract at least 10 of each of the Bottom Dwellers in order to move to the next one.
6. Make sure you have SPOTTED at least 5 Tadpoles, Froglets and Frogs before you start this challenge.
7. Keep an eye on the underwater toadstool to make sure you have enough time left on it, if it
becomes RFH your garden will return to dry land. Getting back underwater can waste resources and time.

Before you start ...
Read the points above and make sure that you are prepared before you start. One of the most important things you need to do is spot enough Tadpoles, Froglets and UW Adult Frogs to attract your first (or 5th etc) Land Frog for Frogspawn. If you've already started frog breeding, make sure you've attracted enough Tadpoles so that you can continue getting Frogspawn for your Bottom Dwellers while staying underwater.
Ideally, you could start your Frog Breeding before attracting the Lobster. The only thing you'd need to do is attract your first plate of Frogspawn. It would be best not to attract any Froglets until you need the Frogspawn, then you can save room in your garden because you won't need a Dulcia Somniflora to deter Tadpoles, Froglets and UW Adult Frogs.

Let's get started ...
Begin as if you are setting up for the Rainbow of Fish, which you need to have done to use this guides. If you haven't completed this challenges, then read our combined guide instead.
Lobster
Step 1
Plant the mushroom in your Rainbow Rocks.
Step 2
Plant your underwater toadstool, then wait for the Mermaid to be spotted and magically transport your garden to the bottom of the garden pond for the remaining time, until the toadstool becomes RFH!
Step 3
Put out Veggies on any feeding tables and attract the Watery Seadragon. (further instructions to complete this step can be found in the Pond Mythological Guide).
NOTE: Watery Seadragon also eats Wild Berries and Tropical Fruits.

Step 4
Purchase your Red Rocks from the Ye Olde Fairyland Pot Shoppe and place them in your garden ready for the 10th Watery Seadragon to plant your Red Pondweed.

Step 6
It's time to dust up the Red Pondweed. You can choose to clear the Veggies ready to put out Wild Berries or put out another plate and attract Mermaids with the rest of the feeds. Red Guppies don't eat Veggies.

Step 7
Put out Wild Berries on the feeding tables of your choice ready to attract the Red Guppy needed to colour your coral. You may choose to attract more Red Snapper as well to help others which is easy to do.

Step 8
It's time to get your Frogspawn for the first Bottom Dweller, the Lobster. Let's breed some frogs!
To do this you need to either let the mermaid go RFH or simply remove it, this will take us to dry land where we can attract the necessary land frogs for our FIRST plate of spawn.
NOTE: If you have already begun frog breeding you MAY not need to go to dry land, you may simply be able to put out Wild Berries and attract the required Froglets and subsequent UW Adult Frog which will lay Frogspawn.

Step 9
Put out Wild berries on a high plate, the Land Frog only feeds from the high plate, the UW Frog also only feeds from the high plate. Your very first Land Frog will lay Frogspawn, if you've accidentally attracted it, you only need to wait for your 5th Land Frog before you will get the Frogspawn.

Step 12
Plant the Red Coral in the Grey Rocks and for quicker results remove the Ruby Jewel plant (or place in your Greenhouse if you have one, ready to use again after you've coloured the coral) which has been deterring some Red Guppies from your garden. While you are waiting to attract the Red Guppy you will start to attract Tadpoles, as these hatch from the Frogspawn. You can never attract too many Tadpoles!

Step 13
Once you've attracted the Red Guppy to colour your Red Coral you are ready for your first Lobster. At this stage you can choose to plant a Dulcia Somniflora to deter the Tadpoles, leaving the Frogspawn for the 10 Lobsters you need to attract to finish the red part of the challenge. Once you've attract 10, you can remove the Dulcia Somniflora and allow more Tadpoles to hatch from the spawn (if you have more feeds). In the meantime, you can continue to attract the Red Snapper by continuing to leave out Wild Berries.
IMPORTANT NOTE: It is a very good idea to make sure you attract at least one Tadpole to your garden at this stage, so that you can start breeding your own Frogs. This will make it easier for the next bottom dweller.

Step 14
Now that you've attracted all 10 Lobsters needed, you must make sure that your Red Coral is left till it becomes RFH and you can harvest it and move onto your next Bottom Dweller. At this stage you can either return to dry land to prepare for the next stage or you can attract your first or next Froglet and UW Frog to start/continue the breeding process and get ahead for the rest of the Bottom Dwellers. It's advisable to make sure you are setup ready so you can easily move on to each stage of the Bottom Dwellers. Visit the Frog Breeding Guide for more information.
Important Note:
This is the perfect time to make sure you have enough Tadpoles to continue through the Bottom Dwellers without any delays or problems. The more Tadpoles you breed now the easier it will be later. Ideally, so you don't accidentally attract too many UW Adult Frogs, it's wise not to attract too many Froglets ahead of time. Every 5th UW Adult Frog will lay Frogspawn, so only attracting the first 4 Froglets initially would be best (less if you plan to use more plates of food, Frogs can come as twins, too), it will also save room in your garden, as you won't need to plant a Dulcia Somniflora IF there is no chance of Adult Frogs visiting. When it comes to each Bottom Dweller, it will mean you only need to attract 1 Froglet and the UW Adults Frogs needed to get the Frogspawn.

Step 2
Plant your underwater toadstool, then wait for the Mermaid to be spotted and magically transport your garden to the bottom of the garden pond for the remaining time, until the toadstool becomes RFH!

All Bottom Dwellers only feed from a low plate, so you need to make sure you have an empty low plate out ready to catch the Frogspawn.
Step 13
You can continue to attract Guppies and Clownfish until the Pondweed becomes RFH, once it is RFH, harvest as usual. You may prefer to just remove it once it's no longer required, the choice is yours.

Put out Wild Berries on a low plate to start, you need to attract Froglets so that you can then attract the UW Adult Frog. If you have a high plate in your garden, you may choose to leave it as is. In the breeding cycle, the tadpole hatches, then turns into a froglet which in turn becomes an Adult Frog. You must attract the wildlife in this order also.

The rest of the Wild Berries will attract Mermaids or more UW Frogs if you have attracted enough Froglets, it's up to you whether you leave this food in your garden or remove it. It's important to remember that every 5th UW Frog is needed for the Frogspawn it can lay, so be careful not to attract them by mistake.

Alternatively, you can allow them to hatch along with the Starfish but you may need to attract more Froglets and UW Adult Frogs to get more Frogspawn if you don't get the 10 Starfish on the first plate.

Step 21
It's wise to remove the Dulcia Somniflora once you've attracted your 10 Starfish so that you can attract more Tadpoles as well and stay ahead if you plant to do more Bottom Dwellers. You can't attract too many Tadpoles.
